Formed from the ashes of Southern-inspired heavy rockers Western Sand, the band re-forged in 2022 as BLACK WATER REDEMPTION, driven by a renewed sense of purpose and yearning for fresh creative direction.
Years of road-tested experience have seen the band-members share stages with the likes of Black Star Riders, Michael Schenker, Inglorious, and Skid Row, forging themselves a well-earned reputation as a thrilling live act.
The band have announced the release of their self-titled debut album, arriving October 2nd, 2026, alongside a string of UK headline dates and the release of a brand-new single, “Ride Or Die” (now available across all streaming platforms).
“We wanted this album to be a true reflection of who we are, our influences, our playing, and our love of proper hard rock,..” explains guitarist Tyler Hains. “Big riffs, guitar solos, huge choruses, and the occasional rock scream. Hopefully, it’s something people can connect with and join us on this journey.”
“Stand for Something” is an effervescent, whoop-it-up showcase of snappy, crackling rhythms, hissing-hot guitars, and thunderous, baking-hot bass-lines. The vocals are irrepressible, giving the entire track a high-flying, exultant sway.
Elsewhere, “Praying for the Sun” carries an oxidized Guns N’ Roses-style thrum and smeary swagger, building toward a stunning outpouring of emotion and symphonic wizardry. This is princely!
“Lightning Strikes” is bound to be a massive winner in rock bars and venues around the UK, packed with the kind of sledgehammering, muddy riffage that grabs immediate attention and gets toes tapping. Like every track on this sensational record, the piece boasts a razor-sharp, gratifying chorus with shades of early-era Def Leppard.
The bluesy, Southern-styled biker anthem “Ride or Die” recalls Sonic Brew-era Black Label Society, though anchored by soaring, Joe Elliott-esque vocals (Listen here). It’s a blistering, highly polished rock ‘n’ roll thrill ride from start to finish. What a dash!
Black Water Redemption is a high-impact, full-bore blazing achievement that comes-super-stacked with multi-layered harmonic vocals, electrifying yet melodic guitar work, and nimble, driving rhythms. Highly recommended for fans of RATT or anyone who’s into classic, arena-ready hard rock!
