My Heroine are an exciting all female commercial rock band based in South East England with a relentless drive to take their music to the masses. The band comprises four very individual girls – each with their own personalities and eclectic influences that shine through. They work together to create their unique sound with catchy riffs, solid beats and heartfelt lyrics.
My Heroine draw inspiration from old school metal to pop punk and everything in between, and it’s through these diverse influences that the band are able to write their catchy songs with emotive lyrics. Their sound is an edgy, unexpected combination of soulful vocals while still staying true to the fundamental rock sound.
This group of young women are clearly passionate about what they do; they are full of energy while still remaining cool and collected. This refreshing combination leads to an unforgettable live performance with moody breakdowns and full on rocking choruses. A bit of old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll attitude thrown in makes them compelling to watch live; their feminine image soon gives way to full on rockers as they become immersed in their performance.
A jungle of wrangling guitars create trip-wires and snares to catch the unawares. That’s how this song starts. Then the vocals – that glisten like syrup – dribble over the bass-notes that are dropped- deep and fluid. Emma’s vocals are mature and generous. They are decorated by lacy guitars from Giverny. The song has an interesting stop-start conclusion, which clocks up your anticipation. It is a stylish, thrilling and unselfish number. –© Neil_Mach February 2013 –
