Eliot Sumner Comes Friday

Eliot Sumner (aka Coco) is the daughter of Police singer and bassist Sting – and sister to the Mickey Sumner.

She has now revealed the second song entitled “Come Friday” from her upcoming EP.

We had a listen:

This fecklessly chugs along like a summer charabanc on the open road...
This fecklessly chugs along like a summer charabanc on the open road…
The rhythm of this song chugs along like a feckless summer charabanc on an open road.

Flinty guitars and steely drums are thrown up by horseshoe strides.

The waxy papercup vocals (reminiscent of Ladyhawke ) are incredibly tight.

The song has immense cohesive energy – and the vocalisations are springloaded and ever-so-slightly toothy.

Like a moving capstan winch in motion. Addled by salt.

Full of internal charge and complex chemistry.
