Dutch London-based Singer-Songwriter ‘Gitta de Ridder’ has just released her first single with music video ‘Mr Yesterday.’
She recorded the single with producer Jeremy Stacey (know from his work with Tom Baxter, Ethan Johns and many more) and it’s a very bare, stripped back track, full of raw emotion.

We had a listen:
With twiddly guitar-play reminiscent of George Harrison’s “Here Comes the Sun” – we visit a photo-book of memories.
A cold shiver of piano helps to create the right plaintive mood.
The honey voice quivers at times, but mainly it is unctuous and smooth.
There is joy here – in the folds and creases. With fascinating ideas about regret and lost hope – and wonderful lyrics like “Cool hands warm my heart…” – these tend to rise to embrace you.
Soft sentiments, and a pillowy voice – this song will help to bolster your day … perhaps it will even make you dream of heavenly things. And, who knows, they might even be true…
