21 year old Massachusetts (US) girl Meghan Trainor has just been nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the prestigious Grammy Awards.
Meghan was discovered by Nashville’s Independent Music Publishing Company Big Yellow Dog Music at the Durango Songwriting Expo in Colorado at the age of 17.
She signed her contract as soon as she turned 18.
She has been traveling all over the country writing with top writers and producers ever since.

This made it the biggest hit of the year by a female artist.
‘All About That Bass’ is a song about having the “boom-boom” and possessing the right to shake it.
It’s a doo-wopping smoothie of a song and instructs girls not to worry so much about size.
Meghan’s voice is cheerful and cherry-pie without being harsh or candid – it may be greasy, sometimes even a little suggestive, but it seems as natural and as pleasantly healing as an oatmeal and honey rub.
