Edinburgh’s psychedelic garage band The Valkarys are about to release their highly anticipated new album ‘(Just Like) Flying With God’.
The band consists of Scott Dunlop on lead vocals and guitar who is joined by Craig Birrell on lead guitar, Colin Brennan on bass and Wayne Hoy on drums.
The Valkarys recently relocated to London, where they were invited by Alan McGee to play the legendary Death Disco at Notting Hill Arts Club.
They also made a live appearance at the Babyshambles club night in Camden.
The London album launch show for ‘(Just Like) Flying With God’ will be held at Nambucca on April 17th.

Meanwhile we have been listening to Meraki taken from the new album:
Amber pennants of vibrating sound tickertape through the air…
Whilst a mournful Blues Harp (James Spence) glides, sighs and breathes as this wonderful song grows and shines.
The vocals are slightly nasal, casual and lax.
Warmed by JOY’s casual elegance and soft timbre voice.
All in all, this is a nostalgic and blessed piece.
