Shy For Shore have announced the release of their EP ‘One More Life’ — and urge fans not to miss their release show next week at Birthdays in London’s Dalston.
Shy For Shore is an 80s inspired synthpop project by Oz Page and Mari Nordén, originally from Norway, now based in the UK.
We checked One More Life:
This starts with a delightful riffle of sounds — like meltwater outcroppings drip-drip-dropping jauntily.
The track fairly blips along with an excited horizontal thrust.
The voice is fresh in flavour, and also clear-headed and ingeniously turbulent, without finding the need to set foot into torrid impetuosity.
For pure kinetic energy, and precision and clarity of voice, you do not need to look elsewhere to find your 1980’s kicks.
