Brighton UK garage rock heroes Strange Cages have unleashed their video for the upcoming single ‘Pony’, directed by Katia Ganfield.
The single is out 20th July via Strong Island Recordings.
We had a peek:
A changatang loping beat heads off in the right direction… then comes at you faster.
It’s a collection of bed-spring helicals and they lollop at you at great speed and in healthy long rusty gusts.
After this, a fairly regular riff is formulated.
Then some truly super rock ‘n’ roll vocals reverb around the walls. This whole thing is wide, authentic and funtime. Not pony at all.
Rock thrills and slightly scuzzed psych punk, from a bunch of silky part-time pine martens…
