We have three weeks of summer left.
So let’s all make the most of it.
Feelin’ hot? Then Demi will help you keep your cool …
Albuquerque, New Mexico born Demi Lovato is a songwriter, singer and actress (probably, you know her originally from Barney & Friends) she rose to prominence through the Disney Channel television film “Camp Rock.”
Demi has also been a judge & mentor on the American version of The X Factor in 2012 and 2013.
She is an advocate for the LGBT community and, in 2014, she became the face of the Americans for Marriage Equality Campaign.
We have been listening to “Cool for the Summer” from her forthcoming fifth studio album.
For listeners who love the synth-driven electro-coolnessosity of icy-edged singers like Tove Lo, Bebe Rexha or Ellie Goulding there might be a little surprise here …
Because this song is just as lyrical-light, evocative and panting as anything by the aforementioned singers… Yet it performed, sensationally, by Lovato.
You will be pleased to note that she now possesses that same “Coolness Aura” as the other attractive and cutting edge dream-poppers.
The sounds can be super-technical in achievement but it is the voice that will attract and grab you into its world.
Reminiscent, perhaps, of Kelly Clarkson, it is a lyric-soprano with soft feathered edges and crimson explosions of energy.
