Those Newcastle-upon-Tyne art-pop daydreamers Tessera Skies have announced their new single ‘Such Great Heights (Raindrops).’
When we last covered the band, we described their sound as “Drony and ambient […] with a sensual voice and creative musicianship that clings to you and pulls you down into its folds…”
We had a listen to the new track:
Glittering rods chime the scales, striking at sound through a bundle of twigged guitars.
A soft voice rises from this architecture.
The effect is cinematic and completely absorbing.
So chilled, but exciting enough to bring a broad smile.
