THE KAISER CHIEFS front man Ricky Wilson — a fan of the Manchester’s indie favourites THE RAINBAND — personally phoned band vocalist Martin Finnigan to ask band to join the line up on stage at Delamere Forest on Sunday July 3rd 2016
Both front men are known for their captivating and energetic live performances — making this one of the most highly anticipated gigs of the summer.
Wilson said “As a band we’ve always loved to play outdoors, we’ve done fields, parks, farms, rooftops, beaches and back gardens, but this will be the first time we’ve played in a forest. If you go down to the woods this Summer, you’re sure of a big surprise. We’re really looking forward to being part of Forest Live.”
The Rainband have already seen commercial success with their tracks ‘Rise Again EP ’ and the ‘Sirens – EP’ both achieving well-earned reviews and taking singles into the top ten.
2015 saw the group taking to the main stage at the world famous Isle of Wight Festival in support of Fleetwood Mac — before touring Europe with Paolo Nutini.
