SAMANTHA FISH — Love Letters + New Album News

We first came across the Missouri bred singer/guitarist SAMANTHA FISH back in 2013, upon the release of her second solo album “Black Wind Howlin” produced by Royal Southern Brotherhood’s Mike Zito.

Love Letters – a squeezy itch of a song…

We thought that album was, “full of yield and sympathy [..] with steamy riffs, deep-vein dustiness and songs that allowed Samantha’s voice to capitulate…

Now, the guitarist, singer-songwriter and blues artist will release her “Kill Or Be Kind” album on 30th August 2019. A two-song single from the album featuring “Watch It Die” and “Love Letters” is available now.

Love Letters” [the song-video is shared below] is a squeezy itch of a number — not dissimilar to Aerosmith’s “Pink” — but this has sky-high vocals, oleaginous guitar, pin-sharp rhythms, strong bass and defiant resistance held in every breath. Is begs the question: it the blues or pinks we love the most?

The forthcoming album was recorded at Royal Studios in Memphis and produced by three-time Grammy winner Scott Billington and mixed by two-time Grammy winner Steve Reynolds. It boasts eleven original songs.

On May 6, Samantha Fish embarked on her tour of UK and Europe. There are limited tickets available at some of the venues. Check here.
