ROYAL BLOOD Music Scholarship

The incredible award-winning rock duo ROYAL BLOOD have unveiled a scholarship with WaterBear — The College of Music.

Headquartered and associated with the coastal city of Brighton in Sussex, the blues-rock duo: Mike Kerr (vocals, bass guitar) and Ben Thatcher (drums) are both from the area and have matured and developed their unique art in the rocking seafront community.

Their characteristic sounds are intertwined, influenced and empowered by the vibrant and bustling music of the city and its diversified art scene.

The Brighton-based music school WaterBear has a mindset and philosophy based, much like Royal Blood, on innovation (in the music industry).

The College sees itself as a pioneering institution for those musicians who seek to strive distinctively and conscientiously to build a conspicuous and innovative music career in a changing and ever-more difficult world, and must therefore be equipped with the skills and abilities that are necessary to embark on productive endeavors in this evolving environment.

Royal Blood and Waterbear are made for each other.

The new scholarship covers all tuition fees for a lucky student throughout their degree studies at WaterBear. The  BA (Hons) Career Musician  is the course eligible for the Royal Blood scholarship award, which you can study on-site in Brighton or online through distance learning; This gives musicians the flexibility to study in the way that suits them best, wherever they are from in the world.

Music has no limits. Music has no boundaries. With a commitment to smaller classes, flexible courses, and one-on-one tutoring, WaterBear represents a new approach to higher education .
