Energetic and indefatigable Chicago-based blues singer and guitarist JOANNA CONNOR releases her new single titled “Destination” that’s produced by and features Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith this Friday February 26th.
It’s the same day she releases her new album “4801 South Indiana Avenue” through Bonamassa’s record label, KTBA Records (Keeping the Blues Alive).
THIS burns with unfiltered sex appeal
every throaty step…
We’ve already described the album as: “The most blatantly naked blues we’ve heard in a long time… it burns with unfiltered sex appeal every throaty step of the way…”
“Destination” is a version of the old Assassins (Jimmy Thackeray) number and it’s hot like an apple fritter left in the pan…
So you’ve got chords from the cooktop, crackling rhythms from the firebox, beefy handfuls of barbecue piano, and oiled & grilled slide guitar-work. The lead vocals (with Jimmy Hall) are like tar paper, asphalt, and iron bark. OMG! What an incendiary mix of ingredients!
