SHAW TAYLOR Tour dates

With the release of seven critically acclaimed albums over the course of two decades, the award-winning blues-rock guitarist & singer-songwriter JOANNE SHAW TAYLOR has established herself as a prolific artist. Her 2019 album Reckless Heart broke into the UK Top 20 Album Chart, solidifying her position as one of the most significant guitar exports in British blues-rock.

We thought her recently released 16-track album “Blues From The Heart Live” was filled with “cosmic silverdust” while her firecracker guitar “screams like a banshee for mercy!

At Oceanway Recording Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, Joanne recorded her seventh studio album, The Blues Album, which was produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith.

On September 24, 2021, Bonamassa’s own record company KTBA Records released the album. It topped the Billboard Official Blues Chart. The album received across-the-board rave reviews worldwide.

The album features Joanne’s personalised covers of 11 rare blues classics immortalised by Albert King, Peter Green, Little Richard, Magic Sam, Aretha Franklin, Little Milton, and many more.

I’d known from the beginning of my recording career that one day I wanted to record an album of blues covers, I just wasn’t sure when the right time to do that would be,” says Joanne. “I’ve always found it far easier to write my own material than come up with creative ways to make other artists’ material my own.

Joanne has announced a 14-date UK tour in November and December 2022. See poster (below) for details.
