Found Through FÉLIX RABIN

The super-sensational French guitarist & singer-songwriter FÉLIX RABIN takes inspiration from musicians such as: Jimi Hendrix, Gary Clark Jr. and Pink Floyd. His style embodies contemporary blues-rock at its best.

We first saw the amazingly youthful Felix play his chirpy tunes at Bude Blues Festival in 2018. His brilliantly memorable walkabout into the audience was a highlight of the concert.

This Spring sees the release of his latest single, ‘Find Me’, from an EP set for release later this year.

Find Me’ is an ambient blending of elegant pop and therapeutic rock. The guitar work is sensitive and insightful, and the wondershine vocals, set as they are against an orbiting underpaint of finely grained rhythms, tell of everlasting melancholy.

For Félix, the forthcoming E.P. marks an important turning point in his songwriting trajectory because, as he has noted, these song-concepts stretched him as a composer. In order to convey ideas and feelings in each piece, he painstakingly created melodies, structures, meanings, and rhythms to suit the emotional construct of his thoughts.

As he explains: “’Find Me’ is a song I wrote years ago. I remember debuting it during my second tour here, a few months after opening for Wishbone Ash in 2018. Though it didn’t make it onto the EP ‘Pogboy’ released the following year in 2020, I kept playing it across Europe over the years, and the track evolved with me.

It’s a song I feel I’ve been crafting and breathing life into during my travels between Scotland and England, playing shows. It’s about the connections we make with one another, past and future. This song is a call to be found and to find yourself.
