‘You Still Got Me’, the new studio album by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter BETH HART —one of the best-loved blues artists on the planet— is scheduled for release on October 25 via Provogue / Mascot Label Group.
The album includes guest appearances by guitar mastercraftsmen Eric Gales and Slash.
Beth doesn’t merely show off her emotions in the songs on this disc… she drags them from her breast to expose the heart-wounds to the world. As she sits at her piano to write, her whole being bleeds. That’s why her songs have such meaningful vibe.

Some of her songs are vibrated & agitated; like futtering prayer flags on desolate slopes. Others are influential and joyful; like golden days spent holding hands on sunny beaches. Some songs focus solely on fighting for love, or at least the chance of falling for love completely. All her songs are emotional voyages. The truth doesn’t frighten Beth!
The songs on this album are infused with a blend of struggle, pain, and naivety. Her vocal power resonates like sapwood, and tingles like a shot of lemon-syrup.

Beth says about her writing process, “It’s always for the joy of writing or for the challenge of writing, to seek what’s going on. Sometimes, when I’m sad or scared, I check in on the piano. Sometimes a song comes, and sometimes one doesn’t. Either way, there’s comfort there.”
The album bursts with a high-energy rock anthem called ‘Savior With A Razor’, featuring Slash. This anthemic number echoes with epic grandeur as Beth’s vocals soar super-dizzyingly boldly, while the guitar adds an extra layer of incandescent electrophysical oomph to the narrative.
“Beth Hart is one of my favorite artists to work with,” Says Slash.
“She is an incredible singer/lyricist on so many levels. But Beth is also as sincere and genuine a friend as they come. She’s amazing.”
With confidence and authority, ‘Little Heartbreak Girl’ cuts through emotion like spears through clouds of destiny. “Little Heartbreak Girl, you’re on your own,” she sings, though navigates the counterstruggle with: “Little heartbreak girl, stronger than stone”. The powerful line “You’re gonna conquer the world” establishes sovereignty, not just for Beth but for all the others in the world who deal with tears of injustice.
Beth’s long-time friend Eric Gales adds his guitar-whirlwind sounds to the yummy polygrooved funk of “Suga N My Bowl.”
While “Never Underestimate a Gal” Hart serves as a premonitory tale. And “Drunk on Valentine” is a touchingly heartfelt boppish ballad in the style of Tom Waits.
Perhaps the most super-pithy & impactful track is the electro-pulsating sociocultural treatise “Don’t Call The Police” —an especially raw interpretational viewpoint on the George Floyd murder.
And “You Still Got Me” is a joyful hymn of gratitude to her spouse Scott: who serves as this artist’s pillar of support and the focal point of her crumblesome universe.
