New York native and beloved country crossover star JESSICA LYNN poured years into her upcoming 10-song album, All I Own. Recent health issues and professional challenges heavily influenced the creation of this emotionally intimate record.
While popular with Americana fans, Jessica’s appeal extends to a wider rock audience. She has performed on stages with some of the most recognisable figures in the industry (such as Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Loretta Lynn, ZZ Top, Richard Marx, Lonestar, Montgomery Gentry, and others).
We have described her voice as “rosewood and aventurine…” and her overall sound as “country-inspired rock ‘n’ roll…”
The artist’s career was nearly ruined by postoperative issues and muscle tension dysphonia (MTD) following sinus surgery.
Jessica found an evocative way to convey her struggles…
In 10-minute bursts of vocal expression, Jessica found an evocative way to convey her health struggles and the progress she made in her recovery. Listeners are invited to find their own narratives within her story, as she skillfully weaves multiple meanings into every song.
Jessica’s new album, All I Own, is a testament to her strength and perseverance. “I hid what I was going through from everyone because I was afraid we would lose tour dates, opportunities, and I didn’t really want to admit that it was real,” Jessica conceded.
Jessica’s mellowest, lip-kissing vocals grace “Shame,” a broadly scoped, seductively rhythmic Latin-inspired song she co-wrote with UK-based, multi-award-winning musician Rachel Walker Mason. The chorus in Shame is highlighted by a burst of brass and a gentle touch of tingling keys. However, at its core, this song is more about the quick movements of dance. So, listeners are invited to on their fringes and experience the rhythm!
“Something ‘Bout You’ hits your heart like a tanker truck filled with purpose. It’s about recognizing the positive energy others bring and using it to build your own resilience and well-being. There’s something bubbly and contagious about Jessica’s voice on this appealing track. It is potent, uplifting, and completely vibrant!
a beacon-like aura of unending hope…
Featuring British Army veteran Liam Wakefield, the deeply rewarding number: “You Save Me” pays tribute to music’s healing power by blending themes of personal salvation with supporting mental health provision for veterans. It has a beacon-like aura of unending hope and is softly compassionate in scope. The duet is performed with sincerity and authenticity.
In the scorching sun, the ‘16-mile’ victory lap song is a breathtaking achievement. Reportedly penned during a secluded tour stop on a remote ranch, it’s a song about self-protection and angelic guardianship in times of crisis.
This artist embodies wholehearted resolution, absolute strength, and unwavering dedication. A first class album of forthright truth and noble fortitude.
All I Own is out 17th January.
