Scarborough (UK) rockers THIS HOUSE WE BUILT are influenced by the timeless swagger of Seventies-style classic rock, though also incorporate the undeniable energy of the NWOBHM, and the power & preen of 90’s glam metal.
The band have released a powerful new single titled “Broken Dreams” accompanied by a new music video (shared below.) The track is the third single to be lifted from their second album, “Get Out Of The Rain” due 21st November 2025.

RAW RAMP
like a restless panther
chasing a lame tusker…
We’ve described their sounds as “dangerously tasty with photoreal vocals, elegant guitars, and superfine rhythms…”
Guitarist Andy Jackson, who takes lead vocals on “Broken Dreams”, describes the new song’s creation:
“I was just noodling away when the main riff came to me, and I thought that’s chunky…”
“Lyrically I always wanted it to be a bit more aggressive sounding than previous songs. With the help of Dave Boothroyd (Don Broco) and Scott (Wardell) pushing me to give it some beans in the studio I think I hit that goal in the end.”
This song has the snappiest of rhythms and the fizziest of guitars, and jumps out of cover like a restless panther chasing a lame tusker.
Lyrically, the song considers the effects of leaving an abusive relationship and could be a reference to physical violence or perhaps pharmacological addiction. In any case, it’s a zealous plea for forgiveness and/or vengeance. This is rocky, honest, and jam-packed full of punch.
