Music’s logotypical rock ‘n’ roll swashbuckler JOHN CORABI — previous frontman for Mötley Crüe, lead singer of the supergroup The Dead Daisies, and Eighties frontman for The Scream (among many impressive accomplishments across hard rock, heavy metal, and the glam ecosystem) — has now shared a new single, titled ‘When I Was Young’ taken from his upcoming debut full-length solo album ‘New Day’ due out on April 24th 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl.
With ‘New Day’, CORABI presents his first full-length solo album consisting of entirely original work. The new album, laid down in Nashville during the summer of 2025 and helmed by producer Marti Frederiksen (known for his work with Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, and Buckcherry), blends ’70s rock, immersive soul, and creatively sculpted blues to create an artwork that’s both enduring and intimately expressive.

The album includes the earlier singles “Così Bella (So Beautiful)” (2021) and “Your Own Worst Enemy” (2022), which are now part of a diverse set of songs that emphasize John’s persuasive voice, his earnest wordplay, and his exceptional song-writing skills.
CORABI is joined by Marti Frederiksen, (backing vocals, guitars, piano, and percussion), with Evan Frederiksen (drums, bass, B3 organ, electric guitar, mandolin, and programming), Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses) on lead guitar, Paul Taylor (Winger, Steve Perry) adding piano, organ and clavinet, as well as Charlie Starr (Blackberry Smoke) who contributes guitar solos. Their combined efforts produce an authentic, instrument-focused sound characterized by genuine performances, harmonious musical exchanges, and passionate energy.
‘When I Was Young’ leans into soft rock and roots/country rock, offering enough Creedence charm for Tom Fogerty fans to get excited and a spirited jangle that feels like a joy-packed horseback ride across the purple sage of your former days. Yep, this has enough spur and jangle to keep your riding boots breezing the wind!
