Rooted in the rich audio tapestry that’s offered by rock ‘n’ roll southern storytelling, Nashville based EVERETTE is headed-up by the Bullitt County, Kentucky musician Brent Rupard who writes his own songs and sings about community and connection.
Inspired by Tom Petty, the Eagles, and Randy Travis, Everette perform country-rock numbers that incorporate big heartland hooks, twanging attitudes, and contemplative lyrics.
Following a breakthrough year of touring on both sides of the Atlantic, Everette now return with a new single, Settling Down, ahead of their first UK headline tour scheduled for this August.2026:
4 August – King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, Glasgow (with Gary Quinn)
5 August – 45 Vinyl Café, York
6 August – Band on the Wall, Manchester (with Gary Quinn)
7 August – Snape Maltings Concert Hall, Suffolk
Written by Brent, ‘Settling Down’ is an introspective observation on leaving behind the final traces of youth while adopting the next stages of life without losing the exuberant essence that defines a person and the energy of life.
He explains: “This song might be one of the most honest songs I’ve ever put out. I wrote it by myself, trying to capture the feeling I had of letting go of the last bit of the unhinged and wild youth I was still holding on to...”
“There were parts of my youth that became my identity, and it was hard for me to give them up. This song is a picture of finally being okay with turning the page to the next chapter while also tipping my hat to the past that has shaped the person I am today. Along with that, not trimming any wild hairs or reducing my spontaneous existence, but directing it toward a deeper and more soul-filling endeavour.”
Opening with the long sigh of a slide guitar and a warm-hearted rhythmic sway, the track unfolds with inspiring clarity and vivid grace. Its gentle touch carries a sense of modest acceptance—a peaceful surrender to whatever lies ahead.
Joining Everette on the Glasgow and Manchester dates will be British Country Music Association (BCMA) Award-winning singer-songwriter Gary Quinn.
Speaking about their returning to the UK, Brent says: “I’ve always loved heading across the pond to hang out with my friends in the UK, but this year’s trip will hit different. It’s my first ever headline tour over there, and I couldn’t be more excited to finally make this happen. Every visit has been filled with so much love and support – now it’s time to give that back with a full Everette show.”
