Austin’s blues rock band Hooka Hey have released their new single “Nasty” from the forthcoming EP Untamed, due out February 10th 2015.
We had a listen:
A hornets buzz of rapidly flittering guitars and flicking drums drives this song along.
Then a panther-padding of softer deeper chords roam in to take charge.
The simpering yet macho vocal smutters as it pastes itself across those whining, sneering guitars…
These are as wide as a gorge, prickly as cactus and poisonous as a rattlesnake on the hunt.
Shaken and dangerously harmful blues-rock with more heat and tears than a smoky Southern barbecue.
