Hot off the back of releasing her latest studio album ‘Contra’ in October last year, Swedish singer-songwriter Cajsa Siik steps into 2015 with the announcement of her new double A sided single ‘State Of Low / Change Of Heart’.
We listened to State of Low:
Deep and luminous ridges of sound bump this song along.
There is also some dark atmospheric subsidence caused by Cajsa’s own mournfully mellow cello strings.
The brilliance of the blushing voice is incomparable.
Distinctly defined and shining, yet hosting a tinge of regret.
The confluence between the clarity of voice and the underlying stiffness of the synthesizer work is a constant source of unhurried satisfaction.
Pulsating darkness meets an open and unequivocal voice on this incredibly moving track.
