Colour the Atlas Scared

The alternative/trip hop band Colour the Atlas is gearing up to release a new EP titled Amethyst this year.

Amethyst will be the third EP from the band and features production from Jake Gosling — who has previously worked with Ed Sheeran and George Ezra.

In anticipation of the EP, they have released a new track “Scared.”

We had a listen:

This starts with a bright acoustic strum and excited voices that very quickly become beseech-filled.

A spark of hope is established. And, perhaps, all the sadness is choked back.

When the rhythm builds stronger, and those wonderful voices become brighter, then this becomes a jewel breaking into a million bright stars.

Ambient trip hop with a flood tide of pleading voices…

And some incredibly picturesque topography.
