These Wicked Rivers are a Derby based (UK) four-piece blues-rock outfit whose output reminds us of Joe Bonamassa and Black Stone Cherry.
Their debut EP The Enemy just came out…
We have been listening to “Lady Killer” the opening track:
It’s got a dark and muddy crust with a black heart of low bass running right through it.
The vocal is handsome, stuffed with cock-devil masculinity.
The guitars are bruising, solid and effective.
This is unrefined soot-dirty rock so will certainly please the sweaty bikers on their mounts — but it’s also cultivated enough to satisfy the most demanding devotees of quality blues.
A good swig of testosterock. Yeah! This is what we want …
