RIVERSIDE — Back Touring

After an extended break from live performance due to the sudden passing of their founding member and guitarist Piotr Grudziński in February 2016, the prog-rock masters RIVERSIDE have successfully completed their return to stage with two very special sold-out tribute shows in their hometown of Warsaw, Poland in front of more than 4,000 people.

Eye of the Soundscape – Riverside

The Polish rock band play distinctively moody sounds with prog-metal elements and have been compared to Opeth and Porcupine Tree.

They now plan an extensive tour to promote last year’s “Eye of the Soundscape.”

Guitars will be provided by the band’s long-time friend Maciej Meller [Quidam] who will join the band as a touring member.

About the Warsaw shows, the band says, “Two amazing, cathartic, unforgettable, one-of-a-kind evenings with a one-of-a-kind audience. Now we know. We are definitely moving on…

And our tour in April and May will also be cathartic and unforgettable…the opening of the new chapter…

Eye of the Soundscape – Riverside

Last October RIVERSIDE released a complementary instrumental album entitled “Eye of the Soundscape – Riverside” that included 13 experimental and highly atmospheric compositions and showcased RIVERSIDE’s ambient electronic side. The release entered the sales charts in various European countries.
