ITS CHRISTMAS — Christmas Hits Live at Royal Albert Hall

SKY ONE and SKY ARTS have confirmed the transmission date for their special “It’s Christmas – Live From The Royal Albert Hall” concert will be Saturday, December 23, 2017 on SKY ONE.

FLEUR EAST in Christmas extravaganza…

The special Christmas concert, to be hosted by JASON MANFORD boats an impressive line-up of stars that include ALEXANDER ARMSTRONG , ALEXANDRA BURKE , FLEUR EAST , HOLLY JOHNSON , JONA LEWIE , MARC ALMOND , MELANIE C , NADINE COYLE, RICKY WILSON, SHAKIN’ STEVENS, SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR, TOM CHAPLIN, THE VAMPS and now with very special guest CHRISSIE HYNDE.

Jason Manford explained, “I simply could not believe it when I was asked to host this extravaganza. I adore Christmas and I love Christmas music so to be on a bill which is essentially “Now That’s What I Call Christmas” Live is a dream come true! Shakey, Jona Lewie and Holly Johnson are as synonymous with Christmas as Santa Claus himself and the rest of the bill is unbelievable. It’s an honour to not only be hosting but to be singing a few Christmas hits myself with our fabulous orchestra.”

The musical director of the event is the acclaimed singer-songwriter Ed Harcourt, who will lead his band, The Merry Pranksters. Harcourt is also preparing a choir and a special orchestra for the event.

The emphasis of this special wintry event will be on the Christmas classics that everyone knows, loves and can sing along with. In addition, there will be a few surprises in the form of covers and unusual collaborations…

The iconic Royal Albert Hall in London offers its own magic for the night. The great concert hall in London was transformed into a winter paradise of rock ‘n’ roll, with snowflakes, Christmas trees and many other seasonal touches.

Reflecting the old-meets-new theme of the concert, the decorations will combine the traditions of the Christmas-past with the extravagance and fun of today’s festive season. Surely it will be a truly memorable night…. and probably not so silent!
