COOL BRITANNIA — Iconic Acts at Knebworth

This summer sees the launch of a new epic music festival: COOL BRITANNIA, which will take place in Knebworth — the stately home of rock.

The premier of BRITPOP CLASSICAL will be the opening act on Saturday 1st September at the Cool Britannia Festival: Britpop Classical presents some of the best musicians in the UK along with an amazing horns and orchestra section supporting a spectacular variety of vocalists.

All Together Now…

Already promised are: The Farm’s Peter Hooton performing All Together Now, Saffron from Republica with Ready To Go, Heaven 17’s Glenn Gregory covering Pulp’s Common People and the unique Phil Daniels (Quadrophenia, EastEnders) will close the set with Blur’s Parklife. Guaranteed to be a festival highlight!

Cool Britannia will also the host the Dr Haze’s Freak Show — with performances by the infamous Circus of Horrors. The audience will experience chills and exciting sensations from a series of truly bizarre but hypnotic acts, which will include contortionism, knife swallowing, acrobatics, strong man acts and other stuff.

The main stage of Cool Britannia will be headed by HAPPY MONDAYS and OCCEAN COLOR SCENE with Feeder, Razorlight, Embrace, The Lightning Seeds, Peter Hook & The Light, Cast, Heather Small, Dodgy, Space, Toploader and The South & more still to be announced.

Cool Britannia also teamed with the legendary MINISTRY OF SOUND. Located in the Big Top, they will have some of the best DJs of the Brit Pop era, including Todd Terry, Brandon Block, Jazzie B and Alfredo. Each night there will be appearances by a host of club classic stars including Black Box, N-Trance, Rozalla, Alison Limerick, Angie Brown and Urban Cookie Collective.
