The legendary Australian band THE CHURCH formed in Sydney in 1980. Their debut album, “Of Skins and Heart” (1981) delivered their first radio hit: “The Unguarded Moment” and they were signed to major labels in Australia, Europe and the United States.
But it’s their 1988 album Starfish producing the Top 40 hit “Under the Milky Way” [shared below] that brought the band to international prominence.
The band are now celebrating the 30th anniversary of this undisputed classic with a weekend of shows at London’s Bush Hall and rare appearances at Manchester’s Club Academy and Edinburgh’s La Belle Angele this June when ‘Starfish’ will be performed in its entirety – see dates below video.
