PLANET ROCK — the country’s leading Rock and Blues Radio Station – will bring a brand-new rock packed night with four outstanding bands this October.
Planet Rock’s Rocktober will take place at the Norwich OPEN on Saturday 5th October and at the Sheffield O2 Academy on Saturday 12th October and will be headlined by contemporary blues master WALTER TROUT, and with performances by the Kris Barras Band, Dan Patlansky and Mollie Marriott.

Walter Trout says: “I am excited to play the UK Rocktober dates with such a great line-up of artists. This will be quite an event. I hope to see you there. Big thank you to Planet Rock for supporting this music so well for so many years.”
Blues-guitarist WALTER TROUT faced extinction during the summer of 2014 but returned stronger to bring us his album Battle Scars that is all abut all about the indurability of life and how to recognize threats and extinctions before they come. He creates bundles of taught guitar filaments and often the blues atmosphere on his compositions are heavy with anxiety,
KRIS BARRAS is one of the best blues guitarists on tour right now. His incredible drive is at the heart of his recent album, “The Divine And Dirty” that explores the good and the bad within us all.
South African singer-songwriter and guitarist DAN PATLANSKY plays fizzy & instructive blues-rock, with an energetically gutsy-attitude, gritty vocalizations and comet-bright guitar-play. He brings blues alive.
MOLLIE MARRIOTT, the talented daughter of former singer and guitarist of Small Faces and Humble Pie Steve Marriott and stepdaughter of singer Joe Brown offers listeners a dramatic and reflective voice with warm pulpy tones and tons of genuine heart. Some of her songs can be raunchy, pushing the boundaries full clout, others are delivered with majestic beauty and emotional spectacle. We have described her voice as: crème anglaise with aromatic anise.
