Previously, we reported their sounds reminded us of the “KINKS but also BLUR. In other words — slurred, muddy and hypnotically buzzing...

The new single, titled “Chin Up Boy” (video shared below) has a charming neighborhood attitude…

But it’s also pop-punk in style, in that cheeky ‘n’ homestyle Wheatus / Fountains of Wayne manner.

The snickery vocal isn’t sniffy, it’s proud of its street heritage. And the spreading guitar is like a heavy dose of reminiscence therapy at a nostalgia clinic for the terminally wistful. This is as snappy as a rubber band gun.
