KIRK FLETCHER — Ain’t No Cure For The Downhearted

The Los Angeles-based, American electric-blues guitarist, and singer/songwriter KIRK FLETCHER is known for his soulful and unique renditions of contemporary blues.

Striking blues guitar… Kirk Fletcher

He issues his sixth album “My Blues Pathway” brings sparkles of guitar, super-twangy funk beats, pin-stripe rhythms, and a bunch of jaunty blues with vintage feels.

The album arrives on September 25th, 2020 via Cleopatra Records.

Before the album’s release, he offers a second single, self-written, and titled: “Ain’t No Cure For The Downhearted” and explains, “This song is about people who shift the blame of all the things in their life that they regret. People who judge their life by other people’s success or their so-called happiness...”

This comes with a set of crunchy keyboards by Jeff Babko and mischievous bass by Travis Carlton (along with drums by Lemar Carter).

It’s a clever number with imperative tones and extraordinary clarity. It combines striking blues guitar-play — that evokes the vision of BB King — with the kind of meditation you’d expect from the dry boogie-woogie healer, Dr. John. Wonderful!
