This week the Australian Gong-based retro-poppists GINGER PAKS (a trio consisting of brothers Parker — the bass-player Lachlan & multi-instrumentalist Kieran — with their talented non-brother, the superhot frontman Rob Jeffrey, who happens to be the ginger-bit of the Parks) deliver “Fool In The Night”.
It’s a song of patiently permissible, reciprocal love.
It’s a silvery and pearlescent romp of eager rhythms, irrepressible musicality and encouraging vocals that tell of two people who need to push themselves together if they’re ever to explore their undeniable chemistry.
This has an ingenious riff and positive styling. Wondrously gratifying!
