The four-time Grammy Award winning American singer and songwriter and multi-instrumentalist H.E.R. has released a brand new single titled “Come Through” that features multi-platinum, Grammy Award winner Chris Brown, and is taken from H.E.R.’s upcoming album via MBK Entertainment/RCA Records.
The simmering R&B ballad was written by H.E.R. with Chris Brown, New Jersey producer Cardiak and Indiana singer-songwriter Tiara Thomas. The single was produced by Cardiak.
The release of “Come Through” initiates an exciting period for the young singer-songwriter-musician, who is consolidating her musical credibility across multiple genres.
“Come Through” (visualizer shared below) is a palpitating ‘n’ almost lathering slather of dripping beats that arrive bubble-wrapped around succulent and warmly sculpted voices.
On Sunday April 25th H.E.R. performed the Oscar-nominated song “Fight For You” from Warner Bros. Pictures’ Judas and the Black Messiah on the Oscars: Into The Spotlight airing.
It can now be announced that she won the 2021 Academy Award with “Fight For You” for Best Original Song. She wrote the number with Brooklyn producer Dernst Emile II and Tiara Thomas.
“Come Through” is not the first time Brown & H.E.R have embarked on a productive musical adventure together: She joined his “Heartbreak on a Full Moon” tour and in 2019 collaborated with Brown on “Come Together” from his platinum selling, ninth studio album Indigo, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and featured the #1 hit single “No Guidance” featuring Drake.
Incidentally, Brown recently broke his own record as his current single “Go Crazy” topped “No Guidance” as the longest running #1 song on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart at 29 weeks and counting. Additional collabs include the DJ Envy remix of “Focus” feat. Brown and the “Slide Remix” featuring Brown, Pop Smoke & A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
