ELLES BAILEY Turns Stones

Multi-award-winning singer/songwriter ELLES BAILEY has released her bewitchingly talismanic single, ‘Stones’ taken from her forthcoming album ‘Shining in the Half Light’.

Stones’ is available today on Spotify.

The lyrics are resolute, and describe those types of folks who criticize others while they possess similar faults themselves: (those that live in glass houses should not throw stones.)

Marinaded by museful guitar and peppered by a shamanic percussion hook, reinforced also by silhouetting key-shapes, the instrumentals present the understructure for Elles’ characteristic spiceberry-plum and ginger-rum voice. This is a song that accumulates in effectiveness, momentum, and texture.

The blues, gospel and soul singer Izo FitzRoy (pictured below) arranged the stunning background vocals on ‘Stones’ and she also assisted on other tracks on the ‘Shining in the Half Light’ album. Izo performed background vocals alongside Jade Elliot & Andrusilla Mosley.
