The fabulous UK singer-songwriter and guitarist CHANTEL MCGREGOR has now unveiled her profoundly touching new album, The Healing— the most intimate and self-reflective offering of her career.
Complementing the album release, Chantel has also disclosed a deeply emotional video for her single, “I Will Breathe” (shared below.)
“I Will Breathe” offers a multi-touch experience — sensitively full-hearted— with each bar featuring heart-shaped musical cupolas held in stunning rock architecture, to represent the musician’s explorative thought-form intuition.

She reflects: “‘I Will Breathe’ is one of the more personal songs on The Healing. It came from a place of emotional exhaustion, feeling lost, buried under fear and regret, but still holding on to the hope that I could rise through it. Writing it was very cathartic. It’s about survival, release, and the quiet strength it takes to keep going.”
Upon the album, she says: “It’s about coming through the darkness. There’s light and strength here too —the kind you only discover when you’ve had to fight your way back to the surface.”
Besides McGregor, the album includes her usual bandmates, Colin Sutton on bass and Thom Gardner on drums; these musicians have an almost telepathic musical connection with the legendary guitarist. What sets this band apart from previous projects, though, is the arrival of the two newcomers. Oli Brown, a well-known guitarist, who co-produced the disc. “I’ve known Oli for donkey’s years, but when I heard the work he was doing with his band The Dead Collective I really wanted to see if we could do something together,” McGregor suggests.
Wayne Proctor, another member of The Dead Collective, handled the production mixing and mastering for her recording.
