TRANSATLANTIC RADIO Midnight Transmission

The Los Angeles-based and globally recognized AOR ensemble TRANSATLANTIC RADIO have announced their debut album, “Midnight Transmission” is to be released on February 20th 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl.

The band’s premiere track, “Wide Awake” — taken from the forthcoming album — is available alongside an official music video (shared below.)

With lyrics about regaining one’s confidence after a destructive relationship turned sour, (“She came, she took, she left me out to bleed…”) it is by far the hardest song on the album. Bassist Victor Brodén with vocalist Mattias Osbäck wrote the number, which includes a tempestuous cameo guitar solo provided by Steve Brown (Trixter, Tokyo Motor Fist).

About the album, bass guitarist, Victor Brodén says: “The completion […] is a love letter to the music that shaped my life, musically and otherwise. The guys in this band took what was a casual idea and turned it into something beyond my wildest dreams. Mattias Osbäck is truly one of the greatest rock voices of this generation with a rough edge that brings our big, sweeping melodies to life and gives them attitude”.

Midnight Transmission” is an affectionate devotion to the titans of the 1980s AOR genre, including Foreigner, Toto, Danger Danger, and Starship. But Transatlantic Radio are not a tribute act nor are they driven by nostalgia! Indeed, each song on their first L.P. strikes a mix between shimmer and sledgehammer, marrying the sparklingly precise present day production standards we’re used to, with driving choruses, belting vocals, lusty rhythms, sophisticated arrangements, and emotionally charged interpretations.
