French Canadian-born singer and songwriter Geneviève Bellemare is a vivid new voice on the scene: Collaborating with experienced producers such as Mitchell Froom (Paul McCartney, Randy Newman, Pearl Jam), Paul O’Duffy (Amy Winehouse and James Bond soundtracks), busbee (Katy Perry, Pink) and Tony Berg (Lucius, Edie Brickell).
The tracks on her new EP – Live and Die, out now on Verve Records, balance smooth jazz with rock rhythms – and admirably showcase her imperturbable voice which is full of juicyfruit freshness.

Title track ‘Live and Die’ is as floaty as the waterborn nightie worn in the video.
Yet it has a fluctuating consistency and a wallowing sadness that makes you feel exhilarated and numb … all in one sitting.
If you need songs that will genuinely moonlight up your life… and that are absolutely authentic and properly soulful… you will not be disappointed.
This is sultry, smooth jazz-rock, with fluid vocals that tap into your veins – to run deep into your pipes.
