Blues vocalist Rebecca Downes continues apace with the release of new single ‘Messed Up’ on April 20 through Real2Reel Records, and a busy schedule of new tour dates for 2015.
Having barely stopped for breath since the release of her critically acclaimed debut album Back To The Start earlier this year, the West-midlands (UK) based pint-sized powerhouse has already enjoyed a series a knock-out performances at The Great British Rock ‘N’ Blues Festival as well as on tour in Serbia this month with the Norman Beaker Band.
Meanwhile we have been listening to Basement Of My Heart which is on the album “Back To The Start” –
This has a plucky upright bass and acidic trickles of electric guitar.
Rebecca’s voice reaches accentuated highs at times, then slinks down low and dirty.
And, when required, she fizzes along with unrestrained emotion.
