FALLEN STATE — View from Ruin

THE FALLEN STATE have announced that their new EP ‘The View from Ruin’ will be released 24th February 2017.

The View from Ruin” follows four critically-acclaimed previous EPs (I, II, III, and ‘Crown Your Shadows’) and is eagerly awaited by fans. It promises to be an excellent addition to the band’s impressive repertoire.

Musically, THE FALLEN STATE are influenced by bands such as Shinedown and Alter Bridge — the quintet unify the spirited & soulful singing of frontman Ben Stenning with the adroit & highly charged moto-locution of lead guitarist Jon Price and the lustrous & harmonious chordplay of Dan Oke. Adamant rhythms and evocative bass-lines are provided by drummer Rich Walker with bassist Greg Butler.

About the new EP, Ben Stenning commented “ [this] is without a doubt the product of maturity in our song writing. It’s the collaboration of every band member having an influence and highlights the drive and togetherness within our band… ”

“ As a whole it represents everything we have experience so far, and we’re beyond excited to show it to the world….

We listened to the new video single ‘Nova‘ (Radio Edit) taken from the EP:

Jangled guitars are carefully scuffed as a ravaged voice rings bright.

Yet the theme is about sadness and loss — about somehow finding the strength to carry on when there are so mnay reasons to give in — so there’s a sense of brave truth and natural justice in the lyrics. The song is, of course, eloquent and complete. With heart-stirring and pensive moments that are affecting without being at all mawkish.

The Fallen State will play a series of concerts to support ‘The View from Ruin’ – check dates below video.
