Those amazing people at HRH have come up with yet another city-based festival and this time the theme is Country Rock, Outlaw, Western & Southern Rock.

Heartland based rocka-hoola – HRH C.R.O.W.S. Country Rock, Outlaw, Western & Southern Rock

Headlining the two-day event is DEVON ALLMAN, the son of the legendary Greg Allman. Devon was raised in St. Louis, Missouri and he’s the former Honeytribe and Royal Southern Brotherhood vocalist, guitarist, keyboard player and songwriter as well as being a versatile solo performer in his own right.

Other artists already announced for this Western Extravaganza include modern blues band BROKEN WITT REBELS whose ultra-high quality, blues-influenced garage rock, with carbonized-zinc vocals from Danny Core we recently described as an “energizing blues experience…

And British blues vocalist JO HARMAN whose “buttermilk evocations and seductive moonshine voice” are  “sharp as diamonds [and] filled with yearning…

Also Wisconsin blues-guitarist JARED JAMES NICHOLS whose 2017 Black Magic album we said had more “baited hooks ‘n’ anchors than a bunch of bear traps and is richer than a beaver pelt [with] guitar solos that come at you faster than spin-stabilized bullets.”

Also announced are: Dan Baird & Homemade Sin. Zack Logan, Federal Charm, Wille and the Bandits, Scarlette Fever, Buffalo Summer, Western Sand, Thirteen Stars, The Outlaw Orchestra, Dawson Smith and the Dissenters, Cellar Door Moon Crow and The Nile Deltas…

So all you Gentleman Jacks and Tennessee Jills out there had better prepare your dancing shoes for a whole weekend of hot-swamp, country roading, boogie-shuffling, crocodile-skinned, alt-countried, heartland based rocka-hoola. Yippee ki-yay!
