We’ve already written that there’s also something Eel Pie about Pablo van de Poel (guitars and vox) his brother Luka van de Poel (drums) with Robin Piso ( on the Hammond)… It’s as if they regularly hang-out with the Yardbirds at weekends.

They’re the psychedelic rock band from the Netherlands, DE WOLFF who were one of our Artists to Watch back in 2015.
If you loved the fashion-sense of the early Stones and the sounds of The Doors you’ll love DeWolff.
Their numbers move easily from chuggy rugues, loaded with rock nostalgia, to meander abstractly, often informally, into dreamland motifs. They’re blues-rock vagabonds that have somehow escaped from a different epoch… And now they release ‘Double Crossing Man’ — taken from new album ‘THRUST’ out via Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group.
‘Double Crossing Man’ is rollicking and jolly. Like taking a bumpy jalopy ride along the Bayshore Freeway in 1965… in other words this is a delectable whipped-cream sundae of surf-sounds, tanned polka-dotted seabirds and bleached, beach-bunny bounciness.
“We recorded this track live to tape with our great friend Levi Vis from the Dawn Brothers on bass...” explain DeWolff: “It’s full of spontaneous little things, some flaws, but the energy was just really good...”
A good-buzzing goodbye to summer…
