FORTNIGHT IN FLORIDA — Easier To Lose

FORTNIGHT IN FLORIDA are a London four-piece who consider Toro Y Moi, Holy Ghost! and Hot Chip as their biggest influences.

“Easier To Lose” is a soothing embrace…

Born from a shared love of disco, synth pop, and an encyclopedic knowledge of the quotations of Alan Partridge, Fortnight In Florida symbolize the will to escape from the daily routine, expressed by a distinctive brand of electronic pop.

After finishing a tour as keyboards player for Lianne La Havas, the band’s singer/songwriter Simon Middleton met Eamonn Dawe (bass/guitars) on a previous musical venture and ‘Fortnight In Florida’ was formed. Shortly after, they were joined by Andrew Gallop (drums), with Lyle Moxsom (guitars.)

They performed their debut live show (first ever gig) supporting Ms. Dynamite on the Main Stage at Wilkestock Festival!

The new track “Easier To Lose” is a soothing embrace, perhaps created for the bubble wrap generation, with a smooth configuration of butter-mint chips, and voices so beautifully interpreted they seem almost consecrated.
