The Gjøvik born electro & dream-pop songwriter/artist ANNA OF THE NORTH [Anna Lotterud] from Norway ( based in Melbourne, Australia) whose songwriting we have previously described as “a surge of foaming emotion” has now released a homemade lyric video for her “Dream Girl” — the lead track from her October 2019 album.
For those who don’t know it, the song is a jingled cutefest with chirruped keys and warbled vocals that are more treacly-sweet than a candy-jar filled with lovehearts.
And even though there’s a hint of sadness: “In my dream world / I’m still your baby” it’s kinda kitschy. . .
Oh yeah, but heartwarming, too.
