BENJAMINO — Clutching At Shadows

Following the release of two singles, a run of enthralling live shows with his seven-piece live band, plus some recording in self-isolation, the Wollongong lad (now Sydney) Australia based, indie-rock / indie-soul singer / songwriter BENJAMINO has released his new single “Clutching at Shadows” taken from a debut album “Open Up The Vault.”

BENJAMINO
BENJAMINO – poignant orchestral funk — packed with bouncy expressiveness…

The lyrics focus on imbalance within friendships and the need for one to realize when determination and attention are not reciprocating factors.

The light funkiness of the number brings pliable bass-notes and superbly well-mannered arrangements…

(With Ben himself on keys with: Mason Rhys-Lewtas on guitars, Kieran Parker on drums/percussion,, Lachlan Parker on bass, Tom Smithson on trumpet, Mitchell Lowe on trombone & Mario Bonaccorso on tenor sax) there’s an array of expressive & succulent tones that are brought with a comforting, if somewhat leisurely, melody and some irresistible and satisfying lyrical songcrafting.

This is poignant orchestral funk — packed with bouncy expressiveness.
