The Montreal glitter rockers DANGEREENS Québec’s most sequin-bespangled glitz-kitschy outfit, will release a new single on 7th September titled ‘Thieves’ via Golden Robot Records.
After signing a global deal with Golden Robot, they released their first single on the label with ‘Streets of Doom’ (check the video below) and are now set to deliver “Thieves.”
Slider style T.Rex bopping and the slick proficiency of Dressed To Kill Kissiness
The new number depicts a day in the lives of two reprobates who are forced to turn to crime in order to survive.
The song has slicing-rattling guitar (kinda Thin Lizzy meets Slade) with corking bass patterns and even a surrealistic Drive-In Saturday style sax solo. The vocals seem a bit frazzled (suggesting Sex Pistols) and the verse builds anxiety and friction much like an old Desolation Boulevard era “Sweet” number might do. Perfect!
If you like the idea of swaggering-staggering futuristic nostalgia (we do!) with Slider style T.Rex bopping and the slick proficiency of Dressed To Kill Kissiness you’ll be halfway to understanding the brocaded allure of this band!
