Four piece Newcastle band ‘Boy Jumps Ship’ are a group of working class lads writing about real life and playing shiny anthems laden with the kind of honesty and integrity you may associate with a bygone time.
In late 2011 Boy Jumps Ship released their exuberant “Engines” debut EP containing four tracks of well-crafted, anthemic, catchy, alternative rock. ‘Engines’ was released to great critical acclaim and received massively positive reviews across the board.
This was followed up with the Peter Miles (Futures, We Are The Ocean, Canterbury) produced “Be Good. Be Gracious” EP that gained excellent support from English national radio. The singles from the EP : “Black Hearts Don’t Beat” and “Better Days” have been play-listed across national and regional radios and Tvs.
The Geordie lads are now currently touring Europe and the UK from this week with Arcane Roots and then playing a series of festivals this summer including 2000 Trees, The Great Escape and Liverpool Sound City.
Their ‘Still Alive’ video was released on on Mar 26, 2014 and contains passionate & effective vocals enshrined within shimmering folds of glistening guitar-work – all produced with a pugnacious rhythm that pulls you into its embracing heart. @neilmach © 2014
