(New York, NY) garage-soul rockers Dreaming Bull have announced the release of their debut self titled LP.
Dreaming Bull was founded after a chance meeting between Gabe Rowland (drums) and Nic Capelle (vocals, guitar) – who bonded over their mutual love of gospel and blues music of artists like Howlin Wolf & Muddy Waters.
The two music veterans found their voice through combining Rowland’s experience drumming for Moby and working with Mario Caldato Jr – and Capelle’s experience building a loyal following in Europe with his eponymous band
We’ve been listening to FEED US ahead of the LP release.
Boxy beats abound and the accompanying vocals wallow like heavily sinking beasts near the waterhole.
The main voice is ragged and raw. It is dragged out and lugged – tumbling like pocket change across a slate floor.
And we really love the scope of those rhythms at the halfway point. They really put pepper in your panties.
Unwashed and ungroomed?
Yes, maybe. But this is a powerful mix of methamphetamine, bath salts and grit.
Fresh voices, elegant rhythms – this is sexy and hypnotic.
With more tendons on show than a cockfight on Muscle Beach… There is no doubt that you will be ooohing! along in no time.
