THE REGRETTES — Ultra Plucky Garage Pop Seashore

Blemished perfection —The LA based punk four-piece punk-act THE REGRETTES write songs of proud barefaced attitude reminiscent of Courtney Barnett or Karen O and perhaps even 50’s and 60’s acts such as the Temptations and Buddy Holly.

Lead by outspoken frontwoman, Lydia Night the band lineup is completed by Genessa Gariano on guitar, Sage Chavis on bass and drummer Maxx Morando.

The group have now debuted a new track titled “Seashore”.

We had a listen —

This has a finger-clicking Latin vibe. With castanets and plucky guitars. The vocal pouts yet has clout.

This pokes a single finger up at the man. And all the other tough-heads out there who think they snarl. But they don’t. Cos’ they’re wimps in comparison.

Centrepoint of this ultra-shiny song is the driving surf-guitars al la Shadows.

This is colourfully painted, glossy and mean. Oh yeah — we love it!
