VON HERTZEN BROTHERS — The Arsonist + UK Dates

The fabulous fraternal Finnish prog-rock act VON HERTZEN BROTHERS create “classic prog-rock numbers filled with flow, mystification and charm.” [RAW RAMP MAG September 2015]

VHB – melodic flavours…

New album “War Is Over” follows on from the acclaimed “New Day Rising” album to see the band take a new approach to their songwriting technique.

Following “New Day Rising” the trio wanted to turn back time and strip things down (except drums) to play all of the instruments themselves and self-produce the record.

We wanted to re-invent the inspiration and energy in our doing…”

We had a discussion between us about if we still have it in us, and whether we are still up for this?

The Arsonist” taken from the album [and shared below] has funky flavours and a melodic flute-sound. This is reminiscent of something by Muse during their melancholic-electronica2nd Law” phase, with perhaps more glamour and cool-headed goldenness.

“War Is Over” is out on 3rd November 2017 via Music Theories Recordings / Mascot Label Group
